Concrete Sculpture

 I have been working with concrete since 2009, drawn by its familiar, readily available and practical applications. Minimal surface decoration draws the eye to explore the shape, texture and colour of the material. My large sculptures are created around internal armatures of primarily waste materials; styrofoam packaging, discarded metal frames, recycled plastics, paper and wire mesh. Covered in about an inch of concrete they are strong but relatively light and transportable.
